  • "5 stars cause moron that don't own one still rate it"
    on by sup1986

Pros people that have NEVER even driven the car or been in it give it 1 star simply because it is owned my Tata Motors which happens to be an Indian company....that's just sad

    Cons NONE----IT LOOKS AMAZING----

  • "An amazing car that is capable in so many ways."
    on by Matt-in-Houston

Pros This Jag is awesome. The interior is superb and the pictures of the outside just don't do it justice. Almost everyday someone makes a nice comment about my car. The transmission is terrific and the engine is amazing. Exhaust note sounds great. A++

Cons I wish that the gauge pod was designed a little differently, perhaps with the tach centered and larger...and a few other small changes such as adding a few other gauges, oil temp, coolant temp, etc...Everything else about the car is great.

Summary This is a terrific car. The only ones I see complaining about it are those that don't actually own one. It is rediculous to even take a review like that into consideration. For those that are looking at buying one, trust me, I used to own a 2006 911 Carrera S with a Softronics ECU tune and X-51 headers and sport cats, a Lotus Elise with over 300hp from a VF Stage II supercharger, and a C5 Z06 with 525hp setup for the track. This Jag is on a whole other level. While it might not have the amazing steering of the Lotus, the tenacious grip of the Porsche, and the lighter weight of the Z06....The XKR-S is hands down the best car I have ever owned. Granted if I were looking for a coupe this choice would have been harder to make...But I wanted the convertible for those nice cool and sunny spring/fall days...The exhaust sounds excellent and the convertible allow you to hear it in all its glory. It is hard to decribe how nice this car really is. I bought mine used with 6k miles on the clock, and saved a lot of money. For the price I paid for this car, there is NOTHING out there that can match it...Trust me I looked for weeks and read/watched hundreds of reviews. This car is faster than most ALL Aston currently offer and for a much lower price. So, I don't buy my cars for the badge they have, I buy them for the performance the car can deliver. Lastly, for around $1500 you can add a pulley/tune upgrade and give the car another 85hp and 90tq. So if it isn't as fast as you want it to be, then do the upgrade and you might be beating 911 Turbos and GTRs on the highway. (They will still kill you off the line, no grip!)

This is also my first paddle shifted car, as I am a big fan of manuals. However, I almost cant believe how nice this ZF transmission is. It is VERY smooth and shifts rapidly. When you down shift it will blip the throttle for you, doing a perfect rev match everytime. There are other several modes you can put the car in, such as a Dynamic Race mode, or Trac DSC, which gives you more control over electronic nannys and a sportier personaility, making aggressive adjustments to the exhaust, suspension, transmission, and steering inputs.

In closing, I HIGHLY recommend the Jaguar XKR-S convertible. Don't let the posers who dont actually own the car persuade you otherwise. This car truly has a split personality...It is the right choice no matter if you wear a track suit or a business suit.

  • "A true drivers car-Brilliant!"
    on by Dirtdoc01

Pros Looks, Fit and Finish; Handling (almost zero body roll); Luxury, Daily Drivability; Immediate and abundant power; Rigid & Agile. Seats are very cool looking and comfortable. Sense of occasion, feels special. Very Fast!

Cons Slow Navigation system; no voice activation; plastic paddle shifters

Summary I have owned the S-type-R, XKR, XFR and now the XKRS. Jaguar is brilliant at building cars that can compete with the best sport cars and sport sedans with better luxury and far better daily drivability. Nobody does that balancing act better than Jaguar.

  • "Tata Motors infotainment stack is the worst."
    on by xtian666

    Pros 1234567890

Cons Looks like the infotainment stack is very similar to the totally crap one in my 2012 Range Rover Sport. For vehicles in this price range it is their achilles heel! Tata Motors needs to put significantly more focus on their car tech.

  • "What a waste of technology"
    on by Deniskav49

    Pros tries too hard

Cons the car has no point and it is not even attractive and I am a jag fan

Summary You are wasting talents here jag. get back to cars that make sense!
