  • "The Jekyll and Hyde of SPorts/GT Cars!"
    on by S5driver

Pros Comfort, Performance, Looks, ENGINE!, B&O audio system, iPhone integration, Google Earth Satellite imagery, WiFi Hotspot, Interior styling, Did I say Looks?

Cons Not many....could be 1 inch lower stock so I wouldnt have to think about lowering the car...lol

Summary This is my first Audi. My wife and I bought it because its the FIRST car we have ever had that satisfies both of our wants, wishes and desires! First off its SUPER comfortable. The sport seats are supportive, very adjustable and of course for a car of this level has programmable settings. We got the car with the adaptive suspension, meaning we can change the handling ad stiffness of the car. In comfort, its like being in a super quiet, smooth and elegant car. You barely even hear the engine and dont feel it shifting gears at all. Put it in Dynamic, and it becomes a BEAST! The throttle response changes, the shift points change, the exhaust is heard and it goes! It also changes the suspension and steering. This makes it a canyon carver and with the torque vectoring sport differential it actually steers you around corners by accelerating the outside rear wheel to turn the car through the corner. It can also apply the brakes to the inside front wheel to also turn the car into corners. What you get is a car with huge amounts of grip and amazing handling. I have heard all the things about the super sensitive steering in dynamic mode. Its done for a reason...and I am not sure why no one figured this out. If you are driving fast in the mountains and you have to turn the steering wheel a few times in tight hairpins...then you need to shift...do you know which paddle is which at that point? NO. So like a F1 or LeMans race car (Audi has one LeMans more times in the last 10 years than any other manufacturer) the steering ratio is changed so you can go through hairpins without turning the steering wheel too much...keeping the paddles on the correct sides. Brilliant. My wife drives in mostly comfort...I drive mostly in Dynamic. She thinks its too fast in Dynamic because it will just GO when you step on it. I think...can it be too fast? The quality, fit and finish of this car is first rate. The stitching in the seats...the carbon fiber inserts, the quality of the leather are all first rate and belong in a 6 figure sports car. We came from a full size Range Rover and are very used to the luxury of that car. The Audi is just as luxurious, I say its MORE comfortable, has better electronics, and is an absolute blast to drive...and it Drop Dead Gorgeous. I find myself looking at it as I walk away from it....and every time I see it, I smile!

  • "Ummm, can you say best car I ever owned"
    on by rcloer1

Pros Well I would have to say everything (except the MMI)

Cons The only downsides I can find is the price for 1 (but considering what I got it was worth it) and the Audi MMI is difficul to use, I'll figure it out one day

Summary I wanted to put a nickname on the car and call it "panty dropper" but wifey thought that was a bad idea when we went to go meet the fam. About 2 days after I bought it we took it to the beach, it had more room that I first thought; we could fit all of her bags and the one of mine along with all the unnecessary crap she bought. Driving along the highway was amazing it was quiet so when she was asleep she couldn't hear me competing with the other cars/minivans on the road; the steering was light but kudos to s5 driver for figuring out why. Got looks by the valets like "I'm going to park that?!?" I had to take a trip to the store because wifey had contracted a stomach virus so it gave me a chance to really test it out (for emergency purposes) it effortlessly accelerated quickly, braking was amazing, and if I would have been in my mustang I probably would have ended up in the ocean. All in all it's a great car and I will definitely keep it for a while. I have it as my daily car and I have had no issues. Like I said the MMI was a little difficult to use for some features but I will figure it out eventually.

  • "Awesome car. Best vehicle ever owned."

Pros Powertrain on this vehicle is pure joy.

Cons No retractable moonroof. No auto folding side mirrors.

Summary An absolute joy to drive and a beautiful car in many many ways.

  • "Unaware the Bluetooth noisy unless person complains."
    on by romaine99

Pros It's cute. The interior is nice. You don't know the Bluetooth is noisy until the person you call complains. Have someone take your car on the highway and call you at home. People begged for me to hang up and call from my land line or cell phone.

Cons The Bluetooth is unacceptable for this much money. The service department was no help.

    Summary Buy a Lexus

  • "Bluetooth on the 2013 A5 Cabriolet noisy and inferior."
    on by romaine1000

    Pros It's cute. Nice interior.

Cons The bluetooth is useless. The service is poor.

Summary Don't buy it if you make a lot of calls on the highway. Funny, I haven't gotten any survey cards lately... I am looking to sell the A5. It has been in the shop twice and they told me there was NOTHING they could do. This is unacceptable on a 50K car. The second time there was actually an Audi tech present. When I went to buy the A5 I told the salesman that bluetooth was a priority to me. People I call frequently ask me to hang up and call when I get home. This is with the hood up.
