"Brilliant and great value!"
Pros: Out of the box-perfect
Cons: None...so far.
Summary: Replaced my Apple CRT Display bought with my Powermac G4. Decided to wait on buying an LCD screen (when G4 needs replacing).
This CRT is sharp, clean colours....out of the box it was almost perfect. Plenty of monitor controls combined with the Apple screen profiler makes adjustment easy.
LCD's make be 'sexier' than CRT's but this is incredible value for money...bought at B&H Photo for $215.00....and it's guarenteed for 3 years!Updated
After a few days of use the screen: there is a light magenta blotchy effect at the top center & center of screen. I have the colour temp. set at 6500K with a neutral grey background but in PhotoShop in the white areas this uneveness is about a 5 Magenta CC Filter. The surrounding areas of the screen are perfect. NEC's advise though quick was impractical to set the colour temp at 9300K and advised against 6500K. Will try monitor for another couple of weeks to see if there's any change. If not I will keep and use for screen 'real estate' and add an LCD when replacing computer.
