Cons I always had good impression on Samsung products and owned three different models from early day 14" to 15" flat screen to 17" flat screen. They were all good/near excellent. But everything has changed after my sister gave this 19" 955DF to me when she on | Read full review

Cons Refresh rates. The refresh I get at 1600x1200 is only 60hz. I can only get 75hz at 1400x1050, it would be nice if it was the 1600 res as well. If you want 85HZ or higher its up to 1024x768, pretty disappointing on a monitor this size. on by smaxx2010 | Read full review

Cons At its recommended resolution and refresh rate (1280 x 1024 @ 70 Hz), the image does have a tendancy to shimmer at the sides at times, but at least its not constant. You can choose to run it at a lower resolution (1024 x 768 @ 85 Hz), which is absolutely on | Read full review

"Jekyll and Hyde"
onPros A large, flat monitor that has great image quality for peanuts($$$); however, beware, there are different models within the model. I have beed using one for about a year and a half at work. This model has a pop/slide out controls at the bottom instead o

Cons I cant figure out how to get it in 1600x1200 without it acting like an extended screen, example: when moving the mouse to the farest point it keeps going until its reached its size of 1600/1200. If someone can help me, my email addy is hilliardera @ yahoo on | Read full review

Cons doesn't display a "true black," glowing haze around edges of screen (most noticeable with black desktop settings), funky moire pattern lines, hard on the eyes for illustrator, photoshop, after effects, and 3D work. on | Read full review

Cons I haven't experienced any problems at all with this monitor. And remember folks, this is a "budget" model after all - you shouldn't expect an unreasonable level of performance in a sub-$200 19" display! And keep those RF generating devices AWAY from your on | Read full review

"Quality for a good price"
onPros Guys, If you want a monitor that is perfect, then pay 800$ plus. For the money you payd, you've got a great monitor.

Cons My review is mixed, since I am extremely happy with every aspect for the first monitor and extremely disappointed with the quality of the new one even though they are the same model. I guess if you are planning to get one it may be the luck of the draw on | Read full review

Cons This monitor snuck under my radar. I normally read reviews to death before purchasing anything electronic, especially for my computer. I read good AND bad reviews but decided to take a chance. I have decided that there MUST be two versions of this moni on | Read full review

Cons The display is so bright the image is washed out and the colors are dingy. Even with brighness adjusted to 0, the picture is terrible. I've tested the monitor on two different video cards and have tested the cards with four different monitors. The prob on | Read full review

Cons - as the Cnet review states, there is a very noticable flicker when running this monitor at 1280x1024@75 hertz (the highest possible setting for this res). Since this is a 19" monitor this mode should be the omptimum setting, but is useless due to the fli on | Read full review

"Flicker Crazy"
onSummary Took back one, got another and it's the same story - the refresh rate maxes out at 75 when running 1280x1024, and there's a flicker in the top right corner and just about everywhere else. if they put the money spent on implementing the dumb 'highlight' feature toward a higher refresh rate and better sharpness, it would be for the good. im a guy who uses a computer 12 hours a day (job) and the fact that people use this monitor and rave about it has me stumped.

"$209 Office Depot before $30 Mail in Rebate/But I've Really Never Been a Fan."
onSummary I hate it when the stores around the neighborhood don't have what i really wanted,... Anyway I have the 955DF Now, not sure if i like it or not, When I have nothing open my Desktop is Squared up, corner to corner and looks good, but when i open a window or an application the desktop gets larger, Example,.. When i open a window the M in My Computer or My Documents is now off the screen, if I then Minimize that Window my Desktop returns Normal and I can then see the M's again, if i Maximize it again the issue returns, the M goes off the screen. I have also noticed that when i have a Window open and the desktop becomes larger everything also seems Crisper then when the window is minimized, I called Support which answered Quick for it being a Saturday morning and a Holiday weekend, The guy said that he has never heard of such a thing, i asked him to ask others and he came back saying that it might be my video card, My Video Card is a Geforce 4 TI4200 128 meg card. This is by far my 1st Monitor and by far my 1st 19in Monitor. Support sounded like a Blow off and there wasnt another Tech or higher level person to speak to because of it being a Holiday Weekend, they said to call back on Tuesday. Figures,... Without reading the Destructions It took a few minutes to figure out the controls on the monitor itself and has "Features" that I would never use, I'm still not sure if i'm going to keep it or not,... I really like the MAG monitors though and Best Buy in my Area Blows for trying to actually get someone to try and help you. I'm going to call support again on Tuesday to see what they say again and if i don't like the answer, Good Price or Not the Monitor is going Back to where i bought it from. Oh well,...
