"Never happy, now worse" on by eagleroc
Pros: bright display, no flicker, good color
Cons: would not calibrate properly, ever. after 1yr it's trashed and in for repair
Summary: The best tell of how bad this thing is to describe my Sony Trinitron (Dell packaged) that's sitting right next to it. The Sony is about 5 yrs old - the Viewsonic just turned 1. Trinitron is still perfect with no loss and no degredation. The P95F (+b) was DOA and I should have taken it back immediately. I lived with it because it wasn't "that bad" and I still had my trusty Sony to do the hard work. I used dual displays - am a graphic artist / webmaster. The vertical would never adjust correctly - always wavy. The "trinitron-like" wires running top and bottom (for sync, apparently) are more pronounced than on my actual Sony Trinitron. Now I have been fighting the guass monster for a few weeks and it has finally given up. No, there are no speakers even remotely close to it. I just have this dark crescent tinge across the upper 1/3 of the display that will not go away. I know this is an old model, but steer clear. My only other recommendation could be for the Sony Trinitron since it has been working great for me for so many years (Dell 19" something-tron).

"It does suck!" on
Pros: Capable of 1600x1200 at 85hz. Color was nice and accurate while it lasted.
Cons: Viewsonic seems to have a big problem with the color RED. Viewsonic has the dishonor of being the first monitor I have ever owned to stop working for an entire color. Do not expect to get 2 years of service from this monitor.

"ViewSonic... Never Again" on
Pros: Bright colors on the right side of the monitor. Clear in some spots.
Cons: Dim on the left side, especially the top left corner. Wavy vertical lines no matter how much I adjust. The is the Second monitor with the exact same problem. Hopefully they will keep sending them until I get a decent one. This isn't the first time I've se

"Blurry at 1280x1024 and above" on
Pros: It's very bright, with vibrant colors. Clear and usable at 1024x768.
Cons: At resolutions 1280x1024 and above, text becomes nearly unreadable. If you use higher resolutions, do not get this monitor.
