Good program, high price, poor customer service.by retracal57 - March 30, 2009
Pros: It IS convienent to access one pc from another.
Cons: Has a tendacy to "drag" or be considerably slower to move around than when you're on the actual computer.
Review:
I would NOT recommend gotomypc to anyone because of the price AND if you have to deal with their customer service (blunt and couldn't care less if your problem is solved or not). AND, they reinstated the account that I had cancelled (with an acknowledgement of cancellation) AND charged me the monthly fee without my knowledge saying that I did it. Not worth the headaches!!

Inappropriate for serious and extended use.by jgregnash - January 14, 2009
Pros: Easy to set up and use; technical phone support good; reasonably fast
Cons: It has no way to restart itself if there are momentary interconnect disruptions.
Review:
The software seems to occasionally find itself hung up during extended usage. When this happens your connection disappears and there is no way to "restart" it. If you call technical support their only suggestion is to physically go to the remote computer to troubleshoot it. So if you need a remote connection over a period of weeks, I wouldn't count on its reliability at all.

Best remote access productby momtech2 - January 5, 2009
Pros: I have used GoToMyPC to work from home and while traveling on a regular basis for years, and it's extremely easy to use and reliable. I have tried others, but GoToMyPC screen resolution/visibility, performance and security are best.
Cons: no complaints
Review:
It is worth paying for the best technology if you're going to use for work on a regular basis -- for the reliabilty, performance, security and support. And it's not that expensive ($179 a year). I love GoToMyPC, and it's made a big difference to me to be able to leave work when I need to and finish up from home.

overall good but why pay?by onlinebackupvault.com - September 9, 2007
Pros: fast, good tech support
Cons: why pay when there is FREE?
Review:
Why pay???
logmein.com is just as good for machines where u load the software ahead of time. and for on demand tech support you have www.DialInToMyPc.com which is sponsored by www.OnlineBackupVault.com which gives a free alternative.

So far, so goodby Haywood11 - August 9, 2007
Pros: Insanely simple to use and reliable
Cons: Lousy image quality
Review:
I notice a lot of folks here are hating GoToMyPC. So far, I have suffered zero problems. I've accessed my office computer on the road via my laptop with no glitches to speak of. Granted, the screen never looks very good, but I'll suffer with that. Even with that caveat, I can recommend it to a typical office user.

Fast, neat and cleanby Raja Bhat - May 20, 2007
Pros: Works very well
Cons: More expensive than Webex
Review:
Its May 2007. I first tried Webex PCNow, found it slow and the screen was somewhat fuzzy on the remote PC. So I decided to try GotomyPC. Its much faster, and I can't tell I'm on a remote PC based on screen appearance. Plus it gives the option to leave the host PC unlocked, which I need to do to have its fax-server function running OK. I like it, and plan to purchase a one-year plan which works out at $15 a month.

Can't reach tech support for regular service problemsby escoop - January 27, 2007
Pros: Very cool the limited period it works
Cons: Often it won't work at all, No Tech Support
Review:
When it works, it is great. Mine worked the first week. But the service regularly fails...either you can't connect to the host computer at all, or it disconnects you right after you get connected. When I called for tech support, I was on hold forever and then just transferred into a voicemail after all the time I wasted holding. Try calling yourself and see the wait 888-259-3826.

Decent enough but why would I pay?by techie_individual - July 18, 2006
Pros: Works pretty well, quick enough speed. Firewalls not an issue
Cons: No free option
Review:
GoToMyPC is a pretty decent program and to be honest with you I didn't have many issues with it.
Until I found out about 3 weeks into it that had I only searched a bit more I would have found logmein, which lets you do basically everything I needed GoToMyPC for for free. If you really need to go to the store and buy a box, get GoTomyPC but if you're cool with not paying, as I am, hit up the free option.

Poor customer service, average service, priceyby Matthew_zero - June 16, 2006
Pros: Almost as good as LogMeIn... Almost. many ser
Cons: Price Price Price, Credit card needed for trial... don't forget to cancel after your trial.
Review:
I have been trying to cancel this service for a while now, i canceled this service in favor of switching over to LogMeIn because of the price, $60/year for LogMeIn vs $20/Month or 180/Yr for GoToMyPc. Now i find out that it was not canceld since smeone logged into this service after i had canceld it and i was told that by doing that, it re-activated the subscription. So i have had to pay over 200.00 for the past 10 months that it has not even been used. When i call to cancel i am forced to leave a message because there is on one in the office to answer my call, it has been 2 days and still no call back. What are they doing with my $20/month for the past 10 months, obviously not investing it in their support team. And why do I need to call to cancel? Why can't i just cancel the subscription over the internet? No, they make you call up a toll free number and make you wait to speak to someone, i have been trying for 2 days now and still haven't gotten through to someone.

Sucky software & hostile business practicesby BenB2B - March 14, 2006
Pros: When it works, it's not as good as PCAnywhere
Cons: Locks up PC
Review:
When I went away on a business trip, I tried to use go2myPC but after only one or two days, it locked up my PC. It was not only inaccessible by go2mypc but also by my FTP software! Then when I got home and cancelled my account, the company still charged me even though the software didn't work!

highly secure and very fastby arturo9111 - March 11, 2006
Pros: It felt like I was sitting in my office, in a word, seamless.
Cons: I haven't found any faults with the program.
Review:
I kept me connected during a recent sickness so that some people didn't know I wasn't in my office. Very fast connection and a seamless desktop, I kept having to remind myself that I was home in my jammies!!!

Excellent fast connection used from anywhere in the worldby lencoris - March 11, 2006
Pros: Fast, easy, consistent, makes my life easier
Cons: Nothing meaningful
Review:
I access my east coast office from Arizona every day and access both computers when I am traveling. All my files are scanned and they are accessible from anywhere. If I do not have my laptop, or am at a slow connection, I can rapidly collect and read my email remotely on my own computer where it can be properly organized.
My secretary accesses her computer from home when she cannot be in the office.
Gotomypc has permitted us to work from anywhere and from any available computer.

Pros: Fast, reliable, apparently safe
Cons: It's so transparent I sometimes forget which computer I'm accessing
Review:
Especially since they released the latest version which is faster and has truer colors, this software makes it possible for me to access my home computer and home email from wherever I'm traveling. I find it invaluable.

Pros: access your pc anywhere
Cons: a step slow
Review:
Great product always able to access my computer. Only downfall is a bit slow to react but I guess that it takes a second to get back to you with anything you do but really is a great product. I am in sales and this has paid for itself over and over again.
