"Best "Jack-of-all-trades" product there is!"
Summary: Though the V7 upgrade is not much more than improved import/export filters, PM still remians the best overall product for producing a variety of professional looking documents. If you're in any kind of business you will want to stay away from MS Publisher. It simply doesn't give clean, professional results. PageMaker is easy to use (read the manual!), powerful, and delivers professional results. For the few small advantges that Quark has over PageMaker (features which I haven't had a need to use anyway, and I'm a professional designer), it has twice as many things that are a real pain. Even for advanced users, there is not much that Pagemaker can't do. I work with PageMaker, Quark, InDesign, and Publisher and I can work twice as fast in PageMaker than any of the others. Though the prices is 4 times that of Publisher, you professiona image is worth it, and I have often seen competitive upgrades that can save you big bucks if you already own a version of Publisher.
