Outstanding value and performance
Pros: Duo-core processor, DVD burner, 1gb RAM
Cons: Case finish easily tarnished, touchpad mouse buttons not very durable.
Review: Wow! What a deal on this notebook. Where else can you get a duo-core notebook with a 120gb hard drive AND a DVD burner for less than $700. Add a gig of RAM to boot, and you have one heck of a deal. The only drawbacks I found to this notebook were that the silver finish of the case is easily tarnished, and the touchpad buttons take less abuse than I dish out, but no matter when using a USB mouse. Processor is plenty fast (especially with a 2gb RAM upgrade for about $100), factory installed graphics/video is smooth, multitasking is absolutely not a problem with this unit. Factory speakers are lacking in volume, but not a real problem when external speakers are used. Built-in microphone is a plus.
Could use a factory installed firewire port, but for the price, it is definitely one of the best values I could find, and an excellent unit regardless.
