"I think Cnet is retarded" on by cougenstein
Pros: Never have been a fan of compact computer, usually they were slow and not versitle. Acer oddly enough was able to make an amazing little computer. I use it with my 42 inch plasma watch TV on the unit and record shows. Able to do multiple tasks.
Cons: 350gb HDD is weak, I ended up putting a terabyte HDD in the unit, also had to put a 120mm fan on the exterior of the case to keep it cool. It comes with 6400ddr2 but can handle 8500ddr2 should have just came with the 8500ddr3 to begin with.
Summary: The computer is great no question about it I feel Cnet has horrible reviews when it comes to this computer, it isvery versitle and can handle browsing the web while playing TV it is awesome. I ended up buying the Logitech dinovo Mini Keyboard/mouse combo, so I am able to lay in my watch tv, record shows, and browse the web with no lag. Keep in mind though I work on computers every day for the largest electronic retail store. I recommend this product as long as you are wanting to hook it up to TV and begin the new era of what computers and TV's are going to which is combining of both. Also I did not pay over $330 for this unit only reason why I put forth the money to make it a truly versitle machine. Had to buy a tv tuner card $70, mouse and keyboard $125, 120mm fan $30 (it was $30 because it is extremely quiet but able to move 70 cfm at 1600rpm at 19db), a terabyte HDD $100, also 4gb 8500 ddr2 $70, and of course a copper northbridge heatsink with fan $20 because the northbridge does get hotter than I like. makes this unit a grand total of $610 but worth every penny. so if you want compact computer that can do anything you want except play some video games this unit is worth the money.

"Amazing HTPC" on by bluespots
Pros: Great Performance, HD out, Dts Sound Small And Quiet. Dual Display
Cons: No blueray, Alot of bloatware, keyboard and mouse crappy
Summary: I recently purchased the x3200 from a chain store. It's simply great ... I have already backed up a few Blueray titles and playback is awesome. I have had no problems so far ... It's not the fastest computer out there ... but the x3 works very well ... for 520 bucks with tax ... it was an amazing deal. I have upgraded the video car to a pny 8400gs ... but for hd playback it was not necessary. The sound is great ... dual monitor output is great ... the hadrive is skimpy at 320 ... but it is a scsi drive? ... 7200 rpm. currently running 1080p to my sony 46xbr4 with great performance. Other than the useless keyboard and mouse for htpc use ... it was a steal ... I am waiting for my mini dunovo ... One thing i do wish it had ... was a hdtv tuner ... =)
Just an update ... I've been running this computer pretty much 24/7 playing web media as well as hd content ... it's been flawless .... i have upgraded the hardrive to 1tb (samsung spinfast HIGHLY RECCOMEND, QUIESTEST AND UBER FAST) Now for gaming it's not great ... cod 5 runs fine on low settings and the hybrid sli is crap. Currently running 8400gs as hybrid and it actually lowered my windows experience score. However i've talked to people who upgraded to 8500gt low profile with much better results. I've read in forums where people have upgraded to 9000 series low profile cards. Anyways ... go buy one ... it's awesome for HD.

Pros: This small computer has never let me down, I have had it ofr 3 years now and leave it on 24-7. plays and copies DVD's great, the HDMI out lets me connect it to my HDTV with great video.
Cons: The fan does not have a small plastic cover on it so that you can lube it form time ot time to proling its life. Only 1 expansion slot.
Summary: This is a great computer to do homework with and watch Netflix or other media type, but not very good for gaming.

"Surprisingly good" on by brennanyama
Pros: -Everyday, multipurpose application running is lightning fast, and can handle pretty much everything outside of graphics-intensive programs.
-Powerful amd phenom x3 cpuCons: -Motherboard has little room for expansion; however, not really a con, this should be expected from a small computer.
-Sound and Graphics card (integrated) are trash.
-HD partition makes no sense C=150GB, D=150 GB.
-Bloatware. Uninstall before using.Summary: For the average user, this computer will perform spectacularly. The processor is very quick, and because of it's 3 cores, you can go ahead and run as many applications as you want without a hitch.
Highlighting the cons, of course the motherboard isn't going to be great, it's a mini computer. All the people complaining about how the motherboard sucks really need to shut up. If you buy a Hybrid car, don't complain about not being able to race it around; same deal here, you're buying a mini computer, in exchange for a smaller size, you get a smaller motherboard. That simple.
The Nvidia graphics accelerator is what it is--which is not much. If you're a gamer, you need to upgrade to something better, there is ONE 16x PCIe slot you can use.
The Hard Drive is partitioned really weird. It's 150 GB in the C drive and 150 GB in the D drive. This is subject to opinion, but I think this is really strange, you will fill up your C quick, so either prepare to save a lot of stuff to both your C and D drives, or you can re-partition it if you know how.
And last of all, the typical bloatware that comes with every new PC is also present here--make sure you uninstall ALL of it after setting up your computer. Be happy though, this probably shaves off 50 bucks from it's price. -
"For rich or for poor" on by jbroceus
Pros: If you're looking for a baseline system that gets on the internet, use for MS Office and watch movies, then this PC is great for you. its very compact.
Cons: The motherboard is complete trash. Very poor performance doing anything processor intensive. The fans are also very loud. Runs very hot so i would reccomend another fan.
Summary: In all honesty, if all you want to do is what i mentioned above with a pc then you can pretty much buy the cheapest thing in the store and it will probably do what you want pretty well like this does. Bottom line is I built my other computer myself. It has half the memory, slower memory, slower cpu, inferior video and that old machine out performs this one in every single test/benchmark. I thought it was a great deal when i got it but I will never buy a premade machine again. I guess the old adage that get what you pay for is definitely true in this case. I traced the problem in this guy back to the mainboard after some part swapping and extensive testing. I did some digging and found that other people have had issues with the mainboard failing completely and since just about everything in system is proprietary, its a pretty penny to fix..... but it is very compact and sleek.
