"Amazing HTPC"
Pros: Great Performance, HD out, Dts Sound Small And Quiet. Dual Display
Cons: No blueray, Alot of bloatware, keyboard and mouse crappy
Summary: I recently purchased the x3200 from a chain store. It's simply great ... I have already backed up a few Blueray titles and playback is awesome. I have had no problems so far ... It's not the fastest computer out there ... but the x3 works very well ... for 520 bucks with tax ... it was an amazing deal. I have upgraded the video car to a pny 8400gs ... but for hd playback it was not necessary. The sound is great ... dual monitor output is great ... the hadrive is skimpy at 320 ... but it is a scsi drive? ... 7200 rpm. currently running 1080p to my sony 46xbr4 with great performance. Other than the useless keyboard and mouse for htpc use ... it was a steal ... I am waiting for my mini dunovo ... One thing i do wish it had ... was a hdtv tuner ... =)
Updated on Jan 13, 2009Just an update ... I've been running this computer pretty much 24/7 playing web media as well as hd content ... it's been flawless .... i have upgraded the hardrive to 1tb (samsung spinfast HIGHLY RECCOMEND, QUIESTEST AND UBER FAST) Now for gaming it's not great ... cod 5 runs fine on low settings and the hybrid sli is crap. Currently running 8400gs as hybrid and it actually lowered my windows experience score. However i've talked to people who upgraded to 8500gt low profile with much better results. I've read in forums where people have upgraded to 9000 series low profile cards. Anyways ... go buy one ... it's awesome for HD.
