    "Pretty box with no drivers installed."

    Pros: I purchased a reconditioned version from CompUSA. Nice price for the supposed features. This will, or should, be a nice addition to the household for utility work.

    Cons: Apparently no drivers were installed. No DVD, No network connectivity, not even the modem. Even the mouse had problems. Device manager couldn't find correct drivers. ACER driver download website wanted a password--what gives?

    Summary: Will see how customer support for ACER handles this. So far, no good. They are only open 8-5 weekdays, when I'm not at home--I'm at work those hours.
    I'm going to call anyway and get instructions on how to return this pretty box of unconnected parts.

    I'm glad I ran across this posting.....I was about to also purchase a refurb 500gb HD version of this machine from TigerDirect(they own CompUSA)(price was great), but now I'm afraid the same thing will happen.... I guess it's off to BestBuy and pay an extra $100.00
