"Acer does not have repair parts - get the warranty"
Pros: I got the Acer for its compact size. It actually has laptop technology, which means the mother board is not generic, but has the power unit integrated on it. I did not want a laptop, so this unit stood out.
Cons: When the mother board fried (my fault - poor ventilation), the repairman said he could not get repair parts. Acer's repair policy is to replace the computer if you have an extended warranty. I had not bought one :(
Summary: I would recommend buying the extended warranty, and making sure the unit fails (run it into the ground) before the warranty expires so you can get a replacement.
