Pros: Never even opened the box because it was delivered after 4 times of delays for shipment. By the time that the computer was delivered, the value had greatly decreased based upon the value paid divided by the number of months lost in their "preparation".
Cons: - Their management could not seem to do anything for me
- They could not give me any estimates as to when the necessary parts would be provided
- They finally rush-ordered everything AFTER I told them to cancel
- I had to go through their return system to
Summary: I have little to no doubt in my mind that if I had to depend upon this vendor for support, despite the fact that they are a major fortune company, that I would have to wait MONTHS to get the proper service. I have the name of 3 managers now and if this is not resolved in 2 more days, they will be reported to the BBB.
I would NOT purchase from Dell Alienware under ANY circumstances. I spent over $3000 on this machine. I would look to Velocity Micro or one of their competitors. Despite the fact that you may spend more, at least you only talk to one person instead of getting transferred over 3-4 times each time you attempt to talk to *someone* who can help you.
What's sad is the department within Dell who gave me the best service was their return department... and even that took 4 weeks to process...
