"My first Mac - I am very impressed"
on by Izak1986Pros Very easy to use, fantastic design with easy to move screen. Quite fast (even after five years) and great for doing video editing, photo editing, etc.
Cons A bit slower on the internet than my more up to date Windows PC and Adobe Flash doesn't work fantastically well
Summary I've had my iMac G4 for over five years now and it is my favourite computer. The design of the computer itself is fantastic with the screen you can manoeuvre how ever you wish. The new Intel iMacs are probably excellent too but I still think the iMac G4 has the best design so far.

on by BeatleMegaFanPros The G4 processor is a real worker and screamer; handles Leopard and all quite well even though it's always using a lot of CPU power.
Cons USB 1.1 is very slow for my newer peripherals (HDs and etc.), could perform a bit better overall. Needs AirPort Extreme capability, but sadly, this didn't come to be.
Summary I love the moveable monitor screen and the dome shape. The DVD drive is cool to watch as it flips out. Performance-wise, this iMac won't let you down. iStat says its CPU is always busy, even when it's not running anything, but yet performance is astounding for a G4. I'm very satisfied with this one.

onPros The iMac is generally faster than PCs and (for me) has never crashed. The iMac's compact design saves a lot of space on the desk. In addition, the operating system, Panther, is much easier to use than Windows.
Cons The iMac is more expensive than PCs (for a reason--it's better).
