"Hard core home computer." on by fearghail

Pros: This is an extremely flexible unit for home use. It replaces my 2007 2.4 GHz iMac and is an improvement of that great little system. Mac user since 1990 and this is the best one I've had.

    Cons: none at this time.

Summary: You can't go wrong with this beautiful little tool.

"Amazing All In One" on by aqnguyen87

    Pros: Amazing All in One

    Cons: Amazing All In One

Summary: People keep touting on how Macs are more expensive for what they offer, but they only mention the hardware. CNET associates seem to be very tech savy and I KNOW they listen to whenever Steve Jobs hosts an event. How many times has the man said it??? APPLE IS A SOFTWARE COMPANY. Compare what software they come with. Look at iMovie and Windows Movie Maker, I promise you'll have a good laugh. Compare iPhoto to Photo Gallery, you'll be confused. Try comparing Garage band to uh... nothing that PCs come shipped with. Oh! what about iWeb and uh... hm... nope nothing for webdesign either. But wait its got VISTA!!!... dang... sorry PC owners... but you CAN download a bunch of programs that do what iLife does, it can be VERY expensive, very illegal, or very full of advertisements. GOODLUCK! Hands down Apple computers offer the best hardware and software integration in the computing world. True PCs may be better for corporate business, but if you have that much fun with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint I don't blame you for getting a PC.

"Best iMac yet!" on by Dean81299

Pros: Fast, gorgeous, made by Apple and runs Mac OSX!

    Cons: None to detect.

Summary: The best iMac or computer for that matter that I have ever owned. PC's just don't have the look or feel or ingenuity that all Macs inherently have.

"Simply the best!" on by The-Hitman

Pros: Everything... and I mean EVERYTHING

    Cons: Nothing at all.

Summary: This is the most amazing computer I have ever, ever bought. The speed is fast, the screen is amazing crisp and clear. The sound card is crystal clear. And what a space saver. I admit this was a big investment, and a lot of people out there are kind of worried about buying a Mac because of the price.. well don't. Save your money and make the switch. You will be glad you did.

"Perfect home computer" on by alastairclarke

Pros: - Mac OS is lightyears ahead of Windows; the user experience is intuitive
    - a 20" screen is large enough for us
    - my 9 month old son has thrown around the (wireless) keyboard and mouse; so far, they seem very durable
    - AppleCare is wonderful!!!

Cons: - It doesn't come preinstalled with MS Office (I know, it's not a great "con" but it's all I can come up with!)

Summary: I have to admit, I spent about a year researching desktops and I waited until the recent update. Our last 5 computers have been laptops (Macs & Thinkpads). I use a generic Dell at work and coming home to the iMac is a breath of fresh air.

Honestly, the main reason why we didn't go with an HP or Sony is because of Windows. The OS is the interface. On a PC, Windows is my main source of stress and frustration. Why would I buy into that?
