"Everything I want and nothing I don't" on by SBCharlie
Pros: Minimalist package, fast, efficient. Never having to wait for the machine to make up its confused little mind.
Cons: A little more expensive than the PC that I might have purchased if I had not thought better of it. I'm not in love with the mouse.
Summary: I don't think I have ever been more pleased with a product that I have purchased, not ever. This computer is fantastic for my needs. This is my first Apple since the Apple IIe. I used macs in school for graphics and web work but they were never a practical solution for me at home. Now there is no reason not to have one. I purchased from MacMall (not exactly a pleasant experience but I got what i wanted for a fair price) with Parallels pre installed on Win XP home, also upgraded to 4gigs ram which I am glad I did. I also sprung for the airport express which I am very happy with as well. The majority of my home computer use is web surfing, email, photo editing, itunes, and netflix. The imac has a bigger screen than my TV and it works better than my Dvd player. I have not had one single glitch or moment where the computer would not do what I asked it to in the 30 days that I have been using it, I can't say that for any PC I have ever used. The bottom line is that this computer is more versatile and reliable than anything I have ever used. I love the keyboard and the speakers sound great for what they are. As a musician and photographer I am actually quite impresses with garage band and iphoto. They do high quality work without much learning curve. I feel very confident in giving this computer a perfect 10 rating.
