"Not Indy Professional Friendly."
2.0 starson by Cytex1Pros: Starts & restarts fast. Works great with minimal app's like Office, Aperture, Photoshop and other same ole mediocre softwares.
Cons: Experience to many problems using CS6 (After Effects), DaVinci (Blackmagic, Red Scarlet), Cinema4D & FCPX. Heavy visual work loads & plug-ins freeze the system, and required rebooting. Should've incorporated Nvidia 2/4GB graphic's card.
Summary: Apple needs to go back to its roots and make media computers for Media people, and take future 3rd party technology into consideration. New line of systems should've included a 8/12 Core Processor & Ram upwards of 64/128GB. The top of the line systems (i7) should be able to handle new 2.5K & 4K cinema camera's with no problems, but doesn't. Overall, independent artist, pro's & students will feel the expensive weight of their lost penny when purchasing any iMac.

I am currently in the market for a new computer. I am a film student and have come to the realization that I need to be able to edit at home. Working only on Apples at school I've decided to stick with it. I am looking into the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. It only shoots 1080p so not 4k or 2.5k. But it can shoot RAW should this be able to handle those files on Final Cut no problem?
