Pros: No more Microsoft OS changes, viruses, headaches, updates, or crashes. Hands down Apple is with no question number one in customer service. Great display, easy to use, amazing applications. I convinced my entire family to make the switch to iMac!

Cons: If youve spent years using Windows, an iMac is awkward at first. Its like learning to be a lefty if your a righty. Can be difficult to maneuver your way around. But you can only blame yourself....take the time to learn Mac OS and think differently.

Summary: For 8 years I "drove" a 2001 HP Pavilion. I knew I was riding on the rims of this old PC and needed to make a new purchase. My only option was Vista. No thank you. I tossed around the idea of an iMac for 6 months, but was afraid of the transition. After visiting multiple Apple stores, I found the staff was so knowledgeable and passionate about the product I decided to pay more than I wanted to for a desktop.
To date, its the best move I ever made to switch over to Mac! I have no complaints or regrets. I love my Mac!
If you are creative in any way, photography, music, or video.... iMac is for you!
iPhoto is amazing and easier to learn than photoshop. iMovie is a great way to edit and organize all your camcorder events. GarageBand is a way to explore music on so may levels. Im amazed at all the applications that an iMac has to offer. No junk downloads.
Seriously, take the plunge and move over to an iMac. You cant go wrong with this computer.
Its been a smooth ride and when I ran into some bumps, customer service bailed me out every time. Apple support is all you need to get back on track. They are amazing. Whether the problem took 5 minuets or 1 hour....the staff is patient, pleasant, and very knowledgeable of the product/system.
Bottom-line is you will not be disappointed if you purchase an iMac. Just give yourself some time to adjust to a more user friendly PC. Your just used to Windows complicating your computer experience. iMac is simple, yet amazing.
Take the time to visit an Apple store and ask questions, take a test run. A new world will open up in your world of technology.

I am a PC user. At one time, I had owned a Mac. It was a terrible experience for me. Screen went black, flickered, the fan was loud, overall, it was terrible. Took it back to the Apple Store. They were rude and wouldn't refund all of my $1700. Very unprofessional staff. I will never buy a mac again. I just can't understand why people love macs. They are a terrible computer! (At least, based on my perspective of one.)
