Pros: Great screen, great looks, front row, mac osx, very quiet.

Cons: watch out when using the profile transfer option from an older Mac

Summary: I bought this machine after my iBook G3 was repeaired for the 4th time. I for one do not shed a tear about Apple transferred to Intel: this is the fastest Mac I ever used.

I love Mac's for their unobstrusiveness: you use the machine to get your work done and that's it. It's geared towar my human interface at least and this machine is so powerful that everything works as should, even Office that runs on the Rosetta technology.

The machine is so quiet, it is hard to notice when it is on. The 20" screen is bright and sharp and you can scatter your application windows all over the place, very nice.

Using it with a wireless keyboard and mouse and that works perfect.

I did have problems initially though: the machine wouldn't log in to my wireless network automatically and I did get crashed when I used some fonts in Word.

Turns out that when I installed this machine I did let the installer transfer my profile and documents and settings from my old iBook to this machine and some setting, caches etc. conflicted with Tiger. I would have expected that Apple should have handled that a bit better, because it took me some time to figure out (with the help of other users) what was going on and how to correct the problems.

After deleting some font-caches and network settings everything works smooth. And even better: once I deleted the caches the Mac OSX restored everything with its defaults and gave me the option to log in automatically to my wireless home network.

I love this machine, It is hard to imagine that in a few months time something even better will turn up.

And you got to love that computer-in-the-screen concept: bye bye ugly boxes.
