"Good All-in-one (I have Intel version)"4.0 starson by superiormac
Pros: Intel processor, DVD drive, big screen, space saver, built in webcam
Cons: 512mb RAM (can't upgrade to Snow Leopard without RAM upgrade), hard drive broke after 3 1/2 years.
Summary: This is a very good computer. It's fast with browsing and works very well with iTunes because it is the Intel version. It saves space on my large (shared) desk with two laptops. It works well with multimedia on Safari or iTunes or DVD player. The built-in webcam is nice too.
It has a few cons, though. The hard drive broke after 3 1/2 years (in 2010). Cost $250 to replace at local computer dealer because Apple said they did not carry parts for it anymore. Also, the RAM is limited at 512mb and I can't upgrade to Snow Leopard for only $30 because I would have to pay to upgrade my RAM as well. Because it is still on Tiger, I can't use Skype, Firefox, or many of the new software.
It's lasted a while, 5 years now, and after the hard drive incident it is fine. It's a great computer and I love it. I think I will check crucial.com for a RAM upgrade and maybe ask one of my computer tech friends to switch it out for me. Then I can get SL.
