    Pros: I like I think

    Cons: NOT as powerful maybe?

Summary: I was thinking of saving for a mac pro laptop but it is $1200 and im broke, i have a PC with Vista 32 bit premium, with 4GB of RAM and think 200GB HD, and a dual core 1.88GHZ processor. I MAke music and record. I have Propellarhead RECORD(that just came out and Reason 4.0, I also Have an MBOX 2 for a sound card and I can only listen to my music programs(at least) but I can't listen to the internet or even iTunes and even less windows media player. I also run Pro Tools LE 8.0.1 on it and it took me 3 days to finnaly get it to work somewhat right on my PC. I Go to college and in my music class all we use are MACS. So my question is if I just want a mac should I just go with the mini if i dont have the money or keep on waiting for extra cash to pop up? Sadly it seems that the mini is more powerful than my PC desktop and can be upgraded to 4GB of ram and is ddr3 better than ddr 2, that is what my pc takes. I'm just dying for a MAC and it seems like a good deal for only 500 bucks or so plus student discount. My PC is doing the job right now but the Macs just seem to run better for music. I am not concerned about internal Hard drives since we just only use external drives through fire wire at school but i have to use USB at home with my PC. I have a HDTV at home, so i can use that as a monitor. I am currently using my cousins new macbook and the music programs I use only took 10 min to load vs. my 3 days on my PC. of course her macbook is faster than a mac mini but more expensive? ANY ideas? OR HELP?
