"Makes a great, if expensive, HTPC."3.5 starson by buddyisadog
Pros: Size, form factor.
Cons: High Price.
Summary: I love my mac mini. I set it up in my living room and use it exclusively as a HTPC (home theater personal computer) to stream HD content.
I have it hooked up to a 50" Panasonic Plasma and a 5.1 surround sound system. I did have to purchase two cables to make this happen, but combined they were less than $20 from monoprice. I also purchased a DiNovo Mini bluetooth keyboard that cost $99.00 from Amazon. Having this HTPC means we do not have/need a Blu-Ray player, saving us about $300.
If you want a high class media center, the mac mini is the way to go.
If you are on a budget or don't care so much about looks, steer clear. When everything is said and done you can save at least $400 by going with the competition.
