"Nearly perfect for a home entertainment system"4.5 starson by willh10
Pros: Size, design, ease of use
Cons: connections, output quality
Summary: In the past I was a windows user, recently bought a iMac g5, was very impressed. I was looking for something for my family room when the Intel Mac Mini came out. Very easy set up, could not believe how easy the wireless networking was. Remote is "cute" but feels cheap. I did not upgrade the memory from 512 and wish I had.
I have it attached to a Dell 32" LCD TV via VGA. Picture quality is good but I agree with CNET DVD quality is sub par. Very convenient playing my music, checking email and watching movies all with one remote.
Its been almost 2 weeks now and it has not crashed even once or had even one error message. Most tasks seems snappy, but lots of widgets bog down with only 512 memory.
I made the switch to Mac 6 months ago and will never go back. There have been a few small issues from time to time, but wow what a difference from Windows.
