"Integration into my entertainment center so far so good"4.5 starson by pricewool
Pros: Small form factor; nice iLife suite of software; connectivity; cool factor
Cons: remote doesn't do a whole lot. Some video adapter probably required; no audio cable provided.
Summary: I'm just getting started with this mini, so I haven't explored it in depth yet. Video hookup for me required a VGA male to male cable($10)which hooked into my Samsung 23" HD LCD VGA port without a hitch. DVI to HDMI is an option, but I'll wait to see how DVD's look first. Audio hasn't been hooked up yet, but I'll probably buy the toslink optical cable to hook up my Pioneer Elite receiver and system. I ordered the wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Ease of setup was a breeze and both look and work great.
iLife seems to be a good product. So far i have used iPhoto. It worked seamlessly with my Nikon D50 and I liked it's feature set for the price. Professionals need to look elsewhere (Aperture or Photoshop CS2). I have also begun my web design with iWeb and have purchased .Mac for a one year go.
Now it's a matter of what additional software to purchase. For each of us that's a personal matter. So far the Mac Mini has been a good choice. I did up the RAM to 1 Gig which some programs require and also upgraded to the DVD burner. These are both worthwile add-ons for just about everyone.
