Pros: I see a lot of complaints in the reviews here about the cost of the G5 as compared to other comperable systems. I use my G5 for one specific purpose: Audio. If you look at other protools qualified systems, like a Dell Precision Workstation 670 or an HP Wo
Cons: The fire wire is awesome. I would kill someone infront of their own mother to get two of them.

"Best Computer I have ever owned/used."
Pros: I have never owned a MAC until I purchased the G5 four months ago. Now I understand why all of the Macies make all of these comparisons to PC's. For the first time in my life I have a computer that does everything I ask of it with very few1 hassles. Y
Cons: A handfull of minor transition problems in converting Office files to Office for MAC.

Pros: Panther is quality. Very fast and future proof. I will buy another once they fix the noise problem.
Cons: NOISE....MORE NOISE...INFACT SO NOISY THAT I HAVE TO SHOUT THIS BECAUSE IT HAS MADE ME DEAF. The 9800 graphics card has a fan on it that is so NOISEY that it has to be a special novelty joke fan. I mean whats the point of the special zoned sound proofing

"Holy smokes..this thing is fast"
Pros: Just installed Panther on mine last night...this blows the doors off of anything I have ever used. Panther is by far the most advanced OS out there. Coupled with a G5, apple is unstoppable
Cons: Would be nice to have another optical drive..although, you really don't need it. I copied the contents of a DVD to my desktop in about 10 seconds.
