"Not a very good set of tests for this machine..."
Pros: Silent & Small. Perfect form factor for the living or bedroom
Cons: Low HP CPU may not be enough for more advanced tasks.
Summary: First of all, let me preface this. I don't own one of these, but I'm looking for something in this form factor.
Why would anyone run Photoshop CS on an atom processor? The chip was developed for mobile devices. No one who can legally afford Photoshop CS would be "misguided" enough try it.
This is a supplementary machine. It's meant for simple tasks like web browsing, chatting, possibly SD media playback.
Ideally, I would install Myth(PVR)/Linux on it, connect a HDTV + wireless keyboard/mouse and watch Video Podcasts, online content, and surf.
I can see this machine taking off in the open source community if it came pre-installed with Myth or a lightweight linux distro.
The Dell Hybrid is the better alternative if you don't mind paying a few extra bills.
