Its Windows XP OS is easy to use and compatible with most software. It allows users to access Internet, play game, or listen music with Express Gate in seconds without entering the OS. It reduces energy usage (and cost) by 90% compared to the typical PC, so it helps protect the environment. It is equipped with the fastest wireless LAN connect 802.11n. In the package, it contains keyboard, mouse, DVI-D-SUB Convertor, SPDIF, Stand, VESA Mounting Kit, and 65w Adaptor. Product summary
The good: Small design may have some aesthetic appeal; Draft N wireless; pre-Windows ExpressGate lets you browse and do other basics seconds after turning on the power.
The bad: Terrible performance and features compared with standard budget desktops; cheap laptop will offer similar capability, space savings, and portability.
The bottom line: Despite a few useful features, the Asus Eee Box is a novelty at best. It can't come close to the same performance and robustness of even the most basic standard budget PC, and a low-end laptop can do everything it can do and more. The appeal of Asus' Eee PC does not carry over to the Eee Box.

A novelty at best? How rude!!by passingthrough - January 3, 2009
Pros: Small.. Fast. Quiet. Price.
Cons: Nothing for me.
Review: I can't understand such a disdainful- yes, disdainful calling the eee box a novelty- review. This computer can easily replace what many people are using right now and they will be jumping for joy that they can finally toggle between programs (which pop right open, btw), have lots of things going at once, without a delay. And that is pretty much all the average person wants to do. If you are into playing games, keep looking, but if you are looking to upgrade that tanker old Dell you've been coaxing along for five years, and want something small that is about as zippy as a body needs, try out this little eee box. Forget those stupid speed tests- big deal. This little thing works just fine and you won't be breaking your back to rearrange the room or move it. You can also leave it on 24-7 without worrying about your electric bill. The reviewer here needs to review PCs based upon what the computer is intended for, not what he uses his computer for. Damn geeks. Who needs those beast computers anymore? Really.
