"The CNET review was quite uneducated."
Pros: This PC is great, and CNET made a mistake in accessing its PSU.
Cons: Price is a touch more than what you are paying for the same parts on Newegg, but with labor considered, this is a great PC manufacterer, and this model shows it.
Summary: I do not own this system, but I was thinking on getting this model (but very differently customized) so this review was helpful, but I have to comment on one extreme mistake on the facts about the included PSU.
Watts do not matter at all in a PSU. Ask anyone educated in the field and they will tell you the same thing. You can have a 1 Kw PSU that can't power a single 8800 gts, and a 500 watt PSU that can power two 8800 GTX's.
This power supply can actually power a ton more than what CNET said it could. They made ti sound like this was a huge fault on AVADirect, but in reality, this is an excellent PSU that is currently the standard for nVidia's expos featuring dual 8800's. GTX's and GTS's.
I will not get into the science of PSU specifications, but trust me, this beast of a PSU can carry its load.

I agree with you that this a solid power supply, at least as far as I'm able without running it through a series of power consumption tests in our own lab. If you check out the product page for this PSU over at Corsair (http://www.corsair.com/corsair/hx_power_supply.html
) and follow those reviews, you'll find that it's been very well-received around the Web. By all accounts it's a good one.
AVADirect itself also claims that it tested this system with that PSU and a second GeForce 8800 GTS in it and that it found that it works. I can't say I know the vendor that well, since this is its first CNET review, but based on my limited interactions, I don't have any reason to doubt it's telling the truth.
So why do I have reservations about this PSU in this config? First, because Nvidia does. Nvidia's SLIZone (www.http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html) info was a little outdated when I went to look at the time of the review, so I called Nvidia's technical marketing director, and we both went to the Corsair site above, went over the specs and the result was that this system could probably get away with the PSU in SLI mode, but given that it's overclocked system, we both felt safer with a beefier unit.
If you go to Nvidia's SLIZone power supply page today, you'll see that this Corsair unit isn't on the list of recommended hardware for powering two 640MB 8800 GTS cards. It is, however, on the list for two 7800 or 7900 GTX cards.
The other reason why I'm down on the PSU is because AVADirect could have simply included the OCZ GameXStream 700 watt model, listed on the configurator for this sytem. True, it's not modular, but it only costs $1 more than the Corsair 620w model, and it's listed by Nvidia as being compatible with those two cards. I'd rather feel solid about system stability than have a pristine interior (which wasn't a little sloppy on this one, even with the modular supply).
Hope that explains where I'm coming from.
