Pros Great value
Cons no negatives
Summary I can't speak to the issue of delays in order-filling. I ordered a custom system in Oct. of 2001. I spent apprx. $1200 for a fairly high performance AMD system and until about a week ago it worked very well. The power supply (one thing I didn't upgrade) finally bit the dust. I am going to buy a new p.s. and get at least one more year of use. At the time I ordered mine it took no more than one week to recieve at my home.
Pros Cheap - you get what you pay for
Cons Worst Customer Service Ever
Summary I bought a Cyberpower gaming system after reading a positive review of the bargain-priced Cyberpower computers on CNET. All I learned was that you get what you pay for. I was shipped a computer with a defective RAM chip which surely would have been discovered if Cyberpower tested the computer for 24 hours before shipping as they claim. As it was, this problem was only discovered and fixed after I spent countless hours with Cyberpower's incompetent and rude tech support. That's if you can even get through to tech support. You often are prompted to leave a message on an answering machine - not once was one of my messages returned.
Even after replacing the defective RAM chip, my computer still doesn't work properly. Technical support basically refuses to help me. Every time I call they tell me to reinstall Windows (their solution for everything), something I have already done three times. I have told them that I simply want to send the computer back to them and have them fix it and ship it back to me...they refuse. Basically, I bought a computer that has never worked, and Cyberpower refused to help fix it and won't take it back. I have honestly never seen worse customer service in my entire life. I have little doubt this company will soon be out of business.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy a Cyberpower. CNET seems to like the ones they've tested - but I bet they've never actually bought one and had to deal with this horrible, cut rate company.
Pros THERE ARE NONE!
Cons COMPUTER NEVER CAME!
Summary While I would love to review this computer, I can't because CyberPower, Inc. never made it. They did, however, lie on three occasions about why it hadn't shipped in over three weeks. I urge you not to do business with this fraudulent company.
Pros Fancy Ads and cool website - that's it.
Cons Lies Lies Lies - Not cheapest - scams
Summary Bottom line: Buy parts from Newegg and TigerDirect. Save yourself being lied to.
I put together a system. Came to $1560+65 shipping.
Same system with their FREE SHIPPING deal came to $1625. SAME EXACT SYSTEM.
So that's basically lying to you about the free shipping. You save $5 that's all.
Also, their "SPECIALS" that "END (insert today's date+(rnd number 1-5))" are also a crock of lies. They just push the date forward every day to pressure you into buying.
I was so going to buy 9 of their systems for a gaming center I own but I can get the SAME EXACT SYSTEM from TigerDirect for the SAME PRICE! Plus, no lies AND you know what? I'll build them myself. One month to build a system?! LAME!
Stay away from these people.
Pros Great customization, great prices
Cons Takes about a month from when you order to recieve product
Summary I customized my order so much it really isn't anything like this particular model, so I won't speak to much about the actual product. I think CYBERPOWER makes quality products at a very affordable prices, however, the downfall of this company will be the dreadfully long time it takes them to build and ship out your product. I ordered mine on 9/15 and it finally shipped today, 10/6 and won't be here at my door until 10/13, two days shy of a month. What really makes that so hard to swallow is that they claim on their website that it takes 5-10 days to build and ship and they offer you a chance to pay more to have them rush it through the building, testing, and shipping phase. I would prefer that they be honest and tell you that it takes more like 15-20 days to complete the order. If I had only known ahead of time that it would take sooooo long, I might have done things differently. So only order from these guys if you don't have a problem waiting a month to recieve your computer.
