Cons: D drive problems since one month after I purchased each unit and Dell can't fix the problem. I bought two units from the same store a month apart.
Summary: I bought two of the computers a month apart last July and September. They both have this issue. It's now a year later, I've documented all of the motherboards, drives, bios update, and other parts they've tried to use to fix the problem and none of them have fixed it permanently. It works for 2 weeks, then they both go out again.
I've been an avid buyer of dell for years and still have several older dells that work like the day they were bought. Dell is not fixing or replacing these lemon units so I'm finally being forced to take them to court. If you are interested in joining me I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll give you my attorney contact so we can all file something regarding this unit. Be it known that Dell has no intention of doing anything other than giving you the run around until your warranty expires (this is what I was told by an x employee of Dell). The attorney I'm seeking will do these cases for free and Dell will be responsible for paying their bill when they win.
Note: I've been documenting all e-mails, messaging sessions, etc for 1 year on two units with no results. Do not accept phone calls. Make them deal with you via e-mail so that you have records. If your unit is still new enough to return I would return the unit and get another computer. This problem is common for this unit and I have yet to read of anyone having it resolved by Dell.
Additionally, I plan on calling my local news station and letting them know about this issue in an attempt to get my two units either replaced or get a refund. This unit is a factory problem and Dell can not and will not fix it.
