speedy off and on
Cons a chance you may get a defective machine
Summary Bought from MS Store...first computer started in store was in operative.
Second box opened in store had functional computer which I like a lot.
Note one review here and some on Amazon had problems with faulty computers and a hassle to return at least the inconvenience of shipping.
Suggest buying from dealer who can check in store the computer is not dead on arrival and avoid hassles.

Pros Nice specifications
Cons Very poor customer support
Summary Like most of the reviewers, I was tempted by the specs on the computer and the form factor of an All-In-One. I bought the $2,699 ($3,000) version. Received it quickly in two days, set it up with the user accounts, watched it lock on the Dell screen after the first reboot. That was a Tuesday. After many hours on hold and talking to ineffective customer support, I tried to get an exchange the following Tuesday. The support person informed me that my problem history was not significant enough to approve an exchange. The advise was to return the broken one and purchase another. While the advice was dumb, I did it anyway. The new one came and would not boot up after the first reboot. Technical support is now sending me a Windows 8 disk so that the operating system can be restored.
Since I have an IT background, I decided to troubleshoot the problem some myself. I normally don't like to do that when I purchase an off the shelf product. I am paying the premium price so I don't have to do this sort of troubleshooting. Anyway, I decided to try since this was the second computer in two weeks. The short version is that both machines have disk related problems. One was a disk boot partition failure and the other was a SSD caching failure.
I'm now $6k in the hole to Dell. I have two beautiful paper weights. Along with an ever growing disgust for Dell.
Pros Great screen
Great touch screen
Cons Tech support is the worst! When you spend over 13hrs on the phone with them and the problem doesn't get solved thats bad! Had several issues with software and hardware! They ended up making the problem worse.
Summary I've had three dells prior to this one but this did me in! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Pros Nice screen resolution
Cons After using the PC for about 6 months, issues with dispaly/LCD appeared. The screen was flickering on and off while working. Many calls to customer service. 3 visits from Techs and I was told they can exchange for a refurbished PC.
Summary I purchased the PC Aug 2012. Started to have issues with display/LCD in about January 2013. Reported the problem. Tech guy came and replaced the motherboard and LCD. Flickering was gone for about 2 weeks. Reported the problem again. Tech guy came in again to replace motherboard/LCD. He was at my house for 5 hours. Left the computer in non working condition. Said that new parts have to be ordered. Tech guy came in for 3rd time and couldn't repair. Told me I had to deal with Dell. Dell told me that they can ship me a replacement - refurbished or send tech guy again. Filed a case with Better Business Bureau. Finally Dell replaced with a new PC. Now from time to time the PC doesn't want to wake up from a sleep mode so I have to turn off and turn on the PC. When my husband opened the old PC to remove the hard drives, there was bunch of burnt cables and lose screws and damaged parts.
Pros AWESOME You get a touch screen with ultra high resolution and an i5 processor for about a thousand dollars if you shop carefully.
You will love your machine when it is working.
(HINT - install WIN 7 and wait until WIN 8 is ready for prime time.)
Cons Windows 8 is a disaster. I messed up the settings in the bios. Spent hours trying to fix the machine. No one, especially DELL could help. I finally put WIN 7 on the machine. Easy to install and works great and the touch screen is a real asset.
Summary I would recommend this machine, especially when running Win 7.
Be prepared for trouble if you stick with Windows 8.
