Pros It's FAST! Everything works SMOOTH on it, I LOVE IT!
Cons It NEEDS MANUALS Badly for the items provided with it!
Summary I laid my five year old MICRON to sleep (UNDER MY desk here)she still works find but she is so outdated. I didn't want to spend a ton at this time for the best and my friend who lives with me got this emachine (her third) and my other friend got this emachine both loved it. So I went out and got the new pentium T5026 as my old machine was a pentium lll. Well got that one home and it grinded and got stuck in revs like. Most of my LARGE photo programs I had trouble loading etc. So I found a store that had ONE MORE of these and took that one back and got this one. Like my friends I LOVE IT. It's fast, it loaded up all my HUGE photo programs etc like a snap. It runs so quiet. I have tried everything on it but the making of DVDs and it is just an amazing machine for the money. One bad thing is the Nero program etc there is just NO MANUALS to understand anything . But I would recommend this 100%. Look at it this way, you paid $600. bucks for it. In two or three years when all new stuff is out GET A NEW ONE lol. You can't go wrong with this machine! I gave this machine a big 10 because it does all it is supposed to do and does it well. My friends have had there's 4 months now both also smooth as can be! I see NOTHING really to fault it with. NO fire wire but it tells you that when you buy it and you can add that if you want. Also I would like you all TO NOTE that emachine has UPGRADED THE DVD to the new DOUBLE LAYER DVD!!!
What I meant by MANUALS for me anyway was: Like NERO I was new to it a beginner had ROXIO and XP lol I had my good old Windows 98SE so it was a bit of a learning curve for me at first. But here I am OLD HAT all ready manuals or not LOL. Everything running FAST and smooth as can be. This machine is really something. Although I felt I must tell you I myself would not go for the refurbished. At this price pay the extra and get it NEW IF YOU CAN FIND IT!
Pros Price and Performance
Cons Haven't found any yet
Summary I needed a personal computer to use when I was not using my company's laptop. I called around and searched around the net only to speak to many representatives who were not offering me half of the features that my emachine gives me but for a much higher price. I was quoted over $1200.00 ... let me just say, had I run across a friend who purchased my emachine with me owning another higher priced machine ... I would have been ill... I love my emachine and just can't imagine paying another manufacutuer for some other machine with only a perceived better value... because it just isn't the case.....
Pros Room for updates, Ram, graphics card.
Cons Hard drive whisper, tolerable.
Summary Serves its purpose daily, a worker in the trenches. I'm not a gamer but I run dual monitors and multiple applications 24/7.
Pros Very nice comp, very fast, nice graphic card (64mb 4x) i bought it from best buy so mine came with a FLAT CRT monitor 17'. The Monitor quality is excellent, Runs all my games very nice. But I think I will upgrade my graphic card soon so I can run more ga
Cons 64 mb graphic card.. Not really still good can run nice games if you tune down the game quality from the options just a bit. Upgrade is recomended!!
Pros eMachines? I would never have thought about considering them, until I was researching one day. This computer compares to computers $200-500 more in price. You get: -A huge 160GB hard drive -512MB of ram -A top of the line AMD Athlon XP 3200+ processor tha
Cons Minor things: -CD-ROM drive is alittle noisy -Speakers are cheap, but most people upgrade their speakers anyway as I will do -No optical mouse, but once again can be easily upgraded -Support and warranty can be costly but if you take care of your computer
