not enough ram to run vista.locks up when running video

Pros: cheap,if you spend the money for xp pro, might be ok.

Cons: have had problems since day one.not enough ram to run vista without long waits.upgraded with additional 1 gig.and added dvdr r/w drive now locksup everytime i play video.

Review: would probably be a good computor with another operating system,as long as i don't play videos it is ok, but will replace it as soon as i can.I must admit I let my warenty run out before I went to emachine for help, and once that happens you are on your own.

Not Good Out of Box

Pros: Can be upgraded. Good for it's price.

Cons: Factory Configuration is horrible.

Review: This was a fairly decent machine. Directly out of the box, it doesn't have enought memory to run vista smoothly. It comes with 512MB. When running with all the pre-installed apps, 79% of the RAM is used up just idling. It has a good processor that could handle a lot if the RAM would be upgraded. I suggest 1GB to 2GB since the max RAM accepted is 2GB. Once the RAM is upgraded, (which is inexpensive on ebay) it is a really great computer!

Great machine for the money.

Pros: Fast and reliable

Cons: needs more ram

Review: If you’re looking for a inexpensive home machine this unit it’s the way to go.
I immediately upgraded to 2 gigs of ram and put a new 256 Mb video card and it works great, I run MS Vista Home basic and have removed the extra programs that came with the machine, they are just extra processes that slow the machine down.
The hard drive is plenty big however I use an external hard drive for running weekly back ups.
Overall, its great for the price, but I would suggest some simple upgrades (memory and video card) to make a great machine better.

good, but not good enough

Pros: probally one of the best you can get for the price...

Cons: not good enough

Review: you need at least 1Gb of Ram in a vista computer! this only comes with 512. The intergrated graphics also takes away from the ram! so you are left with less than 512 ram in this case. The pentium is good, but not capable of gaming! you need at least a new graphics card and another 512 Mb of ram! get the T5224

I love this computer

Pros: Great bang for the buck! Fast

Cons: more RAM, HD is on the small side

Review: I love this computer my dad has a mac mini. My computer blows it out of the water. Idk why but his mini is really slow. Anyway this computer could use more RAM. I put a 256(ask ur friends if they have an old computer and take their RAm) in w/ the 512. It runs faster now. I have not had any reliability issues, I've owned it for 3 months now.

great computer, great price, bad with vista, awesome with XP

Pros: good cpu speed, great game performance with a vid card upgrade

Cons: pre installed garbage, windows vista (horrible)

Review: The t5082 is a great pc.. only if you wipe out the pre-install of windows vista and install a nice copy of XP.. ever since runs like a dream, games run smoothly with no lag.. even with the intergrated graphics.. half life 2 is playable at nice settings on it.. but i still recommend getting a new video card since it does have a pci xpress slot =).. highly recommended buy.. but make sure u get rid of the garbage pre-installed if you choose to stay with vista (only comes with 512 mb of ram sadly.. so either upgrade more ram or go to xp)..
