"Was decent...now needs repair"
Pros: Good initial performance for the price, and what I needed it to do
Cons: After some time, I got lagging performance, rebooting when plugging in USB devices and ultimate system failure
Summary: I bought this comp from Office Depot a couple of years ago. I use the system mostly to run Photoshop, After Efx, Flash and to do Web stuff. I played a few games on it like the Sims 2 and it worked fine for almost all software other than a few 3D applications. I definitely liked the USB powered speakers that came with it and sometimes use them for my wife's laptop. I only used the Media Center a few times the first year, and one day when I decided to really try it out, it failed and never worked correctly again. More recently I realized that the computer I got didn't even have the correct input/output ports to do any of the things the Media center is supposed to do.
It worked pretty efficiently for a while but over the last few months it has taken a drastic turn for the worse. The fan has been whirring in a scary way and when I plug in my iPod it sometimes completely turns off and reboots.
Ultimately it got stuck in a reboot loop and I needed to restore the system completely. Unfortunately I reformatted first and lost everything, even my audio/video drivers. All in all it was a good computer before the system failures probably the best I had up until now.
