"Great home computer" on by artigj
Pros: Dual monitor using HDMI. Easy to install
Cons: Limited expandability this computer has w/ the 300W power supply. Plastic housing
Summary: reviewed many computers at this price level and found the DX4720-03 to have the best features for the cost. I do not have any problems running my software (except for a couple of older programs that vista does not recognize). The feature I like best is the HDMI port that allows me to connect my computer to my home entertainment system. I can use my regular monitor and my high def TV as a second monitor and the sound automatically switches to my surround system. Great for work, gaming and the streaming video from the internet has no lag ( a serious problem w/ my former computer). Love to watch those TV episodes I missed during the week .

"It is a remarkable machine for the price." on by fargo721
Pros: the dual core pentium can handle multi tasks with no delay, lag or problems. The 640GB hard drive offers tons of room for my digital pics , and music. The machine looks good, and what a difference from my old computer , which was lacking in ram.
Cons: Comes loaded with bloatware. Have had the computer for about ten days now, so haven't encountered anything that I really can list as a negative.
Summary: Number one, the price is great for the quality of the machine. I am not into gaming, so the slight deficiency in graphics and smaller power supply doesn't bother me any. I have had a few compatibility issues because I upgraded to a 64 bit system, but nothing major. All in all I really like this computer and would recommend it to anyone.

"After one week it stopped recognizing any keyboard." on by gunker
Pros: It worked for the first week I owned it.
Cons: It doesn't work now.
Summary: After one week, the PC stopped recognizing the keyboard - any keyboard. I spoke to 3 different tech reps to try to fix it and they each told me something different. I had to ship it back to Gateway (actually ACER) at my expense under warranty and they shipped it back WITHOUT FIXING IT. They shipped it Fed X signature required when I was at work. I had to take a day off from work and drive 25 minutes to pick it up. I got it home only to learn they hadn't touched it. I called the number on the packing slip and a recording told me they didn't have my PC serial # on file and wouldn't let me talk to a human being. The repair shop is ACER, not Gateway, so I had to call a different #. Spoke to 3 people (again). I asked for another PC. They refused. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever endured. They have my money. They don't care if I can't use their product.
