Pros: supposed to be fantastic
Cons: will take 40 days to arrive!
Summary: I disagree with the comment made to the first review. If a PC does not arrive on time, it is very much relevant to state this in the review. I ordered this PC on November 28 with the promise that it would arrive in a week. Now the estimated ship time shows JANUARY 5, 2007!!! I called Gateway and they have no answer. You get transferred from one incompetent rep to another.. then you give up.
Is anyone seriously going to argue that they are not interested in this information?? If you are buying this Gateway for the holidays, think again. I am not, so I have not canceled the order. I have always bought DELL in the past and never had any problems.. This is my first Gateway. So far the process of ordering has been very disappointing.

Ordered in Feb2007 and it is April 6th and still no computer.

I've been using Gateway since 1991. during the span of 16 years I've never had a complaint on their service. Not even one in 16 years. They are very helpful and willing to assist you. The machines I've bought (4 of them) have very releiable and I've been able to obtain four years of service per machine with only minor hardware updates. My next one is due this year and I am already looking the FX family of PC's.

just canceled my order with Gateway today.<br>Placed my order on 12/7/06 promised a 12/18/07 ship date then order pushed back to 1/4/07 o.k. fine...called customer service today to check on ETA and they told me 1/25/07 possible ship date.<br>Almost two months to buy a computer is not acceptable.Something is very wrong at Gateway based on other opinion post.<br>Not getting good vibes from Gateway customer service (they know there is a problem and will not just come out and say it) and this is unfortunate I am a loyal Gateway fan I own 5 units 3 desktops and 2 laptops all work fine but the ordering backlog/customer service clulessness about your order is unacceptable...people should be aware of this.More importantly I hope the powers that be at Gateway read these posts...YOU GUYS HAVE A BIG PROBLEM FIX IT AND TELL CUSTOMERS THE TRUTH ABOUT BACKLOG!!!
