I purchased a ATI x1950 xtx with GDDR4 memory. They sent a x1900 with GDDR3 mem with a x1950 xtx sticker on it.
2 months and support is a joke. Buyer beware -

Summary: I ordered the FX530XT back towards the end of January. After the initial date of 2/15/2007 came and went I called the company to find out that the arrival date was delayed to 2/19/2007. On 2/19 I called the company to find out the machine was delayed until 2/26. On a hunch I called on 2/23 to find out the system had been delayed until 3/15/2007. 6 weeks to receive a machine is unacceptable! I can't believe this is what Gateway does as a business. Buyer beware...unless you want to wait 6 weeks to get your system I'd look elsewhere. (We'll see what happens on 3/15)

Summary: I looked and looked and compared systems before I opted to go with the Gateway FX530 system. I placed my order back in August with about 20 day delivery time. This is now Oct 15, 2007, and after checking to see if the 2nd delivery date of 10/18 was still good, they slipped in and pushed off the system for the third time for another three weeks. This will make a 3 month delivery time.
The first two times I was told there was "an over-whelming demand for this system". Now I am told they are "waiting on a part", but was not told what part they were waiting to arrive.
This would have been my third Gateway system, but am now going to see if I can get a Dell, which was my other choice, much sooner. -

Summary: Would probably be a good system if Gateway could manufacture and deliver it. I ordered one 5/30 then found out the delivery date was a month and a half out. A month and a half later Gateway sent out a note thay it would take another 3 weeks. Their factory is screwed up right now, don't order from Gateway until they get it straighten out.

Summary: I gave this a 9 because I have seen this system in action with Vista and Xp and its a great choice for the budget minded gamer. good hardware options and accessories. Love the look and choice of color. Only wished the color areas lighted up. Now the only probs I had were when I ordered, it was delayed because of Vista and parts. It was going to be almost a month before I got it so I had to cancel. Sorry Gateway, but I got one too many delay emails. I think they have a winner here, just need to work on build time.
