Great Pc for the moneyby dallascowboy1972 - August 22, 2008
Pros: geat money buy
Cons: none at all
Review: I have had the GT5428 for over a year now. Works great. If you are a gamer, buy a x box. It will upgrade to 4 gb of ram, no matter what some people tell you. So you have plenty of space for upgrade. Has a 250 gb hard drive. For the money, i would buy a second one.

VERY NICE Lots of Bang for not many Bucksby metchankm - May 15, 2008
Pros: Speedy and responsive, lots of storage
Cons: Vista (why'd they do that!)
Review: Computer is a task master the pentium D(3.2 Ghz X2) allows me to have a lot of apps running at once with no noticable drop in performance. I upgraded the video card and added 3 GB of ram(4 allowed...2 sticks of 2 each)I have an older eMachine with XP Pro and I'm going to load it onto this one. At that point this thing won't have any cons!!

Not a bad PCby Vdaoud - September 5, 2007
Pros: 250GB SATA II hard drive, dual-core 64-bit processor, portable media drive bay.
Cons: Windows Vista, poor video card.
Review: I bought this computer back in May 2007 and it was the only computer I saw that I would actually enjoy. I didn't like the fact that I was getting Vista on it because I've heard a lot of bad things, but to tell you the truth, it's not that bad. It does have a poor video card in it though, but nothing a new video card can't fix and if you're not a gamer than you really don't have to worry about that.
Anyone will really enjoy this computer if it's your first or your fifth. For the price, it's a wonderful PC.

Good, just needs a decent video card - and WinXPby ajbright - April 30, 2007
Pros: 1GB Ram, Decent Processor
Cons: Comes with Intel Graphics and Windows Vista
Review: A good computer for the price, really the only thing missing is a decent video card.
Anything between $120 and $160 would turn this into a respectable gaming PC (obviously you could do a lot better but not for under $600).
The only problem is it comes pre-loaded with Vista. Wiping it clean (has the added bonus of removing all that crapware) and installing Windows XP Pro will give you an instant 30% speed boost.
Add another 1GB Ram and a $160 ATI or nVidia video card and you have a very nice PC - something that would have cost an easy $2000 12-18 months ago.
Obviously 64-bit is better, obviously the newest games over the next year will not run very well with everything maxed out.
But the best games of the last year will perform very acceptably as long as you get that video card and upgrade to Windows XP.
