Summary: Wal-mart sold me a computer that was returned by someone else. I am not good with computers, and files things of that sort, I would find things that were downloaded in October off o6 and I bought the computer in april of 07.....

"Works great for the money, use it every day." on by dstrout
Pros: Fast enough processor, plenty of HD space, fair amount of RAM (or at least it was considered fair when I got it)
Cons: Can't boot from USB
Summary: I have liked this machine a lot since I got it. It did pretty much everything I required of it, and it did it quickly. I have been using it for several years now with no problems. I have upgraded to 2 gigs of RAM and Windows 7 home premium, and am even happier with it now than when I bought it. I got a wireless card for it when we went wireless. The 250GB hard drive is nowhere near full, definitely more then sufficient. It wouldn't be a good buy now, of course, since you average system today is much more powerful, but though I bought it 3 years ago, it still serves me well, and I am happy with it.

Pros: Like the look and the Style
Cons: Very slow when going into controll panel.
Always freezes, have to keep restarting.
Sound goes on the computer all the time and then need to do system recovery because the system restore dosent work.
All programs open really slowly.
Computer SucksSummary: I do not like this product because of all the problems listed in the cons section. A computer is supposed to make life easier not more stressful. Insted of getting this computer you should look at other hp products or at least sony or dell. If you are going to spend a lot of money on a computer go and buy a Sony. Sony's are one of the best computer makers ever !!!

Pros: Ther is nothing to submit I am very disappointed with this purchase
Cons: support for this unit is very poor I have been sent 2 reinstall disk sets from Compaq support and the computer will not recognize them .
Summary: It will not allow any other OS but Windows Vista and when I accidentally erased the system restore file I called the Compaq Support they sent me two sets of restore disks and the computer refused to recognize them. I am now sitting with a dead machine. I cannot recommend this computer.
