Summary: Twin Altec Lansing speakers provided very loud, room-filling sound when watching DVDs and listening to music. While streaming tunes from Slacker, songs with strong bass lines (such as Brick's "Dusic") packed a satisfying amount of thump.

Pros: Has a nVidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics chip, which is considerably better performing than some similarly priced PCs.Also, this PC has a DVD? RW(? R DL) / DVD-RAM disc drive. Also, the 750GB hard drive installed on this machine is rather large when compared to the average desktop. However, the phenom X4 based CPU installed on this machine is fast enough to handle demanding applications, such as digital video.
Cons: None noted, given available product data.
Suitability: A basic PC, suited for basic computing tasks, such as word processing, e-mail, and web browsing. The nVidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics installed on this desktop is moderately fast when it comes to handling 3-D graphics. Also comes with advanced word processing software -- fine for most serious business or academic document authors. However, store massive amounts of data on DVD using the DVD burner included in this desktop.Make sharing photos with offline friends easier: put them on a disc with the CD writer in this desktop.
Value: Notwithstanding its expensive price, this PC has great features for the money. However, this PC manages to combine class-leading processing power with ample storage. If you were to judge strictly by CPU speed, however, the price of a budget PCs with comparable speed is about 30% lower.
Suggestions: (1) Using this PC's Firewire (1394) port, you can connect to many digital camcorders and other equipment and rapidly upload data to the computer's hard drive.(2) If you plan to be playing the latest 3-D games, you may want to invest in a more powerful video card from NVidia or ATI, which are popular with the gaming community (requires an open AGP or PCIe slot).
