This full-ATX Compaq Presario series is loaded with performance and flexibility features, to meet the needs of demanding applications. The SA4000Z series comes with either Microsoft Windows XP Home or Professional Edition (both 32-bit). Windows XP Professional is recommended for home-office and networked environments. All SA4000Z desktops come with the new Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) with Advanced Security Technologies, which helps protect your PC against viruses, hackers, and worms. The Athlon 64, AMD's latest extreme performance processor, is designed to support 64-bit applications but can be scaled to work with existing 32-bit applications. Each Presario SA4000Z desktop is configured and shipped as a 32-bit solution. With an 8X AGP slot and a variety of powerful graphics card options, the SA4000Z is prepared for gaming, video editing, and more. SA4000Z PCs feature Serial ATA hard drives, with faster transfer rates afforded by the latest technology. Or add a FastTrak Serial ATA RAID controller bundled with two Serial ATA hard drives in either of two configuration options ("RAID levels"). Add the new HP Personal Media Drive - a second, removable drive that fits in the SA4000Z chassis or can be used externally with another PC via USB 2.0. Pop it in your SA4000Z, load it with digital files, and take it with you.
