Pros has at least 2 cores for VM purposes, has 4gb of ram enough for more than 2 VM's to run at a time, video card is decent enough to do what most people want it to do and then some, it doesn't come with that idiot editor for cnet.
Cons needs 8gb's ram, not AMD, needs a quad core for more VM's, needs a better cpu that has Intel or AMD's hardware virtualization.
Summary What the editor said in the video was totally out of line. The iMac can't even compare to this AIO PC or others nor does the iMac deserve a review. The iMac has less ram(which is used extensively during graphic, video, and audio production), it's got a faster CPU(YAY a whole 380mhz faster, utterly useless), smaller screen, no touch screen, no tv tuner, probably comes with a mighty mouse(YAY no right click), probably has no card reader period so there goes any ideas about easy transfer of photo's off your digital SLR, and less harddrive space.
So to recap what you're paying the $1300 for on the iMac, you're paying for a dual core CPU that's approx. 380mhz faster than the this one and 400mhz faster than one of the others, NO UPGRADE ABILITY WHATSOEVER, and of course like all of them, it comes with Mac OSX which is slower than even vista.
BTW, I purchased my IQ506 for $100 more than the iMac and I'll tell you now, it's worth every penny.
Oh, and if you want functionality, I dare anyone to try to setup a server on mac OSX. Have fun using the mac terminal because the mac UI restricts all access to the root system folders which contain most if not all the conf files needed.
So tell me again Mr. Editor what makes the iMac better ?
Tell me again what makes the iMac a better all around purchase ?
If you edit anything in this review or refuse to post it, I will post it on HP's site and I'm sure they'll be more than willing to post this because this doesn't have the load of crap that the editor spits out about the other AIO PC's.
Pros Touchscreen is fantastic and anyone can use it.
A 4 year old can use it without any help.
It looks so nice you want to touch it and can!
They say it is slower but, I have had no problems yet.
Cons I don't like how it doesn't have the upper end speed like iMac but, with that said I have not had a problem with the OS yet.
Summary Bottom line I have had this for less than 24 hours and have become a firm believer that iMacs aren't everything. They look nice sitting in the stores but so does this. If you had the money to put into this unit like Apple does with iMac I think the pedestal for this would shine brighter. Very user friendly and you get emersed in the touchscreen use.
I like this product over iMacs and Sony's all in one because of the touchscreen and the ease of use.
While I was over trying to figure out why my wife would want this unit over a very powerful iMac my daughter began her journey into the touchscreen era. She did it all her self by watching others and got to the games and started to play them with out anyone telling her how. If that is not a big selling point for a family then I can't sell anything.
I have brought this unit home with a little reluctancy but, I think this will suit my family very fine. I will not have to retrain my mind to conform tothe iMac OS. I have always been a windows user.
The keyboard and mouse are wireless, standard. It is an option that you have to pay for on the others metioned. The keyboard is very sleek and I like it vs. the traditional bulky keyed keyboard with other desktops.
"Touch with finger sometimes hard - but an insect will get it's command through, no problem"on by betzzyb
Pros Beautiful Screen
Cons Touch is touchy
Summary Only get this machine if you are in a insect free environment. I put the machine to sleep and got up a few hours later to find windows open and items in my "trash", commanded by a couple little flying things. So I've learned to turn off the touch capability, which is a shame because that is the primary reason- other than the HD TV that someone might purchase this machine.
Pros WIRLESS N ADAPTER BUILT IN,PLUS MIC W/ WEBCAM,DUAL CORE PROSSECOR,4 GIGS RAM,22'
Cons DID'NT FIND ANY YET,AS SOON AS I DO I WILL POST IT

Pros Touchscreen technology, easy to use!!!!!!
Cons Technology is not refined enough for a desktop.
Summary Great concept, however the technology needs to be refined. In a matter of two weeks I had exchange up to four hp touchscreens and finally after each one crashed after the initial set up, I gave up!!!
