  • "it may be a nice computer, but "value" it's not!"

Pros: it has a touch screen. (good for the win8 developer preview) and it is FAST!

Cons: 3D Viewing is a stupid gimmick. (Oh WOW, like OMG, the icons are popping out at me! How about we stick to technologies that increase the stability of the OS.)
It's $1000+ and it only has 8GB of RAM.
    Did I mention, it's $1000!!!

Summary: When I hear the word "value," I think of something the average low to mid income household can afford, or a student even. I think maybe y'all need a reality check- about a third of the country is out of work! I wouldn't describe any computer for $1000 as being in the value category! I saw a lenovo desktop at fry's the other day for $299. Granted, it had an i3 not an i7- and not 3D touchscreen, but that is what I think of when I think Value. You can add all sorts of tech that's unnecessary, but a value it does not make!!

Compare this to the iMac and tell me its not a value, like the guy below I ask you to please consider the classification of the statements you make, context is everything, but I guess when your IQ is room temperature its hard to tell.

Jesus, how many times to I have to say this: If you don't OWN the computer, then you have no right to write a review about it. If you actually took a few hundred steps back from your narrow-minded view, you'd see that this computer is a great value for what you're getting: Fast desktop version of an i7 processor, 2 gigs of VRAM, 2 TB HDD, 8 gigs of pretty fast RAM, a blu-ray drive AND a 3D Screen.
Value is all relative my good sir. If you make 60-70k a year with some money left over (hell, even if you wanted to finance) and you desired a computer with some of the traits offered in the Lenovo IdeaCentre, then it would have a great VALUE for the money. On the other hand, if you only make 25-30k a year and you needed a computer for some basic word processing and web viewing, then you could probably go on ebay and get a 3 year old computer that can do exactly that for like a hundred bucks.

And you enjoyed watching Avatar in 3D, didn't you?
