"Interesting Review"
Pros: Sheds light on Psystar
Cons: Reveals CNET ignorance
Summary: I am a bit surprised that CNET - and other reviewers - gave the clone such high marks. You can't burn DVDs on it, you can't upgrade without the worry of getting a nice brick, and key aspects of the Apple operating system experience that come free with a regular Mac are absent.
And the reviewers give it a 6.9? I wonder how a similar Windows PC that was so obviously crippled would fare?
Missing from the specs are some vital bits of information - how many USB / Firewire ports does it have (I am led to think no firewire if a card had to be installed) and do the other ports - PS/2 or SCSI work?
Obviously, this toy is meant to be juiced by hobbyists - and I'm surprised CNET didn't try that. Two empty drive bays and plenty of room to expand. It looks like some fun if that's what you want to do.
Two corrections to the review:
1. With a Mac, if there is no eject key on the keyboard (like mine - I use a DELL PC keyboard with a Mac Mini) you either drag the CD or DVD to the trash, or with a two button mouse (yes, I have one of those - the Mighty Mouse isn't for me.) right-click and eject is one of the options that comes up - assuming Psystar hasn't disabled those tricks.
2. The Mac OS isn't "EX" it's OS 10 - or 10.5 if you're using Leopard.

It's another way to eject cds if you don't want to drag the icon to the trash
