"Newer "flavor" is much better"
Pros: Fits perfect in our family room entertainment armoire. Does everything we wanted it to do. Seems fast to me.
Cons: Little pricey (but pleased with purchase)
Summary: I wish Cnet would revisit this PC for review. I LOVE the form factor and look. It does everything we bought it for...lets us surf the Internet, do email, record shows, enjoy digital photos on big screen, etc. This one does have Blu-ray, better processor and graphics, faster larger hard drive than old version. Picture looks GREAT on our 37" Samsung LCD TV. It is so convenient to pop in SD card on easy to get to front of PC and pull pictures onto PC and have Vista Media Center view on large TV (or pop in Thumb drive and pull in pictures/music that way). Slide cover when ports aren't needed to hide the "PC-ish" look of it. Wife likes it because it doesn't look like we have a "computer" sitting in "her pretty armoire" (we opted for the white one and it looks smaller than a typical DVD player). I'm really pleased and am glad I didn't read the Cnet review on the older version first (as I probably would have confused it with the one Sony is selling now).
Even streams shows, pictures, and music from old XP Media Center Computer upstairs. Would probably have given it a 9 or 10 if it was priced a little lower (considering you can get a computer WITH monitor for that price). Still glad I purchased though.
We have 3 Macs in the house (and two other PCs) and this is the BEST in the way it "fits" into our living room and provides us access to our media files.
