"Why buy this when the iMac's cheaper and faster?"
Pros: Hmm - space saving, like the iMac
Cons: $2100???? Overpriced and underpowered ...
Summary: I shouldn't really rate this. I've only used it in CompUsa, so I'm marking it down too much, just to be fair ... ish.
So I was playing about with it, thinking that it at least looked decent compared to Sony's last attempt at an all-in-one, when I looked at the specs.
1.83GHz Core Duo? 19" screen? Integrated Intel Graphics? I thought the iMac's graphics were weak, but you can get a 24" iMac with dedicated graphics and Core 2 Duo at 2.16GHz for $2000. Throw in an OEM XP Home for $80 and you're still under the price of this. The only advantage this has is the TV tuner, but you can get Elgato's EyeTV for $80. I don't understand why anyone would buy this.Updated
I'm NOT marking it down too much
