"Buy only if you need cablecard and poor support" on by hs-works
Pros: futuristic design, nice keyboard with integrated mouse, one of a few Entertainment PCs with ATI cardbus tuners
Cons: Tuners are external and big, each with own power supply. Couldn't get both to work only one. No IR output for blaster cable inspite of the advertised specs. If you need to control an external box you are out of luck. Cardbus only!!
Summary: Worst experience yet with customer support. All of them are in India or Pakistan and all speak poor Englisg and have an attiitude. They argued with me over the existance of an IR port that wasn't there. The malfunctioning tuner out of the box was not sufficient to warrant a return. After several hours on the phone and numerous email exchnages I am shipping the unit back at my own expense hoping to recover my expenses from credit card through a dispute. From a customer support point of view alone this company SONY deserves no sales at all, so buyer be aware. Ever wondered why there is a near endless suppy of refurbished units?.
