"No Overclocking!"
Pros: Awesome System
Cons: Not Exactly Honest about performance
Summary: I spoke yesterday with a Velocity Micro representative who confirmed that they have no intention of shipping any Core 2 systems with overclocked CPUs. I wonder what the benchmarks on this system would show if it weren't "aggressively overclocked".
Please review a non overclocked system, like the ones VM will be shipping.

It ships with the intel "bad axe" motherboard, which allows overclocking. If you buy the watercooling system with it, you can easily hit 3.6ghz (many online have hit 4ghz on water and 5ghz on phase-change). Velocity Micro was shipping a moderately overclocked C2X to show what can easily be done by any home user with the system they provide.

If VM does not sell the systems overclocked, the review is worthless. How much did Intel pay for this? I would like to know what the real results would be, Intel would still be out front (and rightly so). This reminds me of the old auto testing with cheater cars.
