"You can't trust any of the reviews"
Pros
My system worked like a dream for the first year I owned it
Cons
In the second year, after the warranty ended, the motherboard fried with the video card and they didn't do anything about it. After repairing that, the hard drive crashed and the power supply failed. And just recently, now three years later, it died aga

Originally, I saw all the great reviews raving about its reliability. That was in PC World. I have come to find out that those were advertorials that Velocity paid for. And I get the short end of the stick. Actually, while I was looking through Cnet, I found a user review that was obviously put by a Velocity Micro marketing person. I will copy and paste it here as proof of them making false reviews. And, someone has come in and hit "find this review helpful" 5 times, so that this user review comes up first. Here's a link:

Pros: Love that they clocked up the CPU with standard air cooling, very good graphcs, and super fast for 999.
Cons: none...it's $999!

I can't understand all of these posts that say this is not a good deal or "I could build it for half that price" because it's simply not true. I have build many of my computers in the past, and I can say 100% that purchasing this system is less money than buying the components on Newegg or anywhere else and putting it together myself. Plus, the craftsmanship is way better than I can do myself. Final point - and it's a big one - VM is the ONLY company in the business that could overclock a CPU by 700MHz on a stock Intel fan. Anybody that says otherwise is just plain crazy or trying to slam this company for some reason...that does unfortunately happen on these Cnet forums, so reader beware!

Obviously this review was fabricated by Velocity Micro marketing people. But on the other hand, I was screwed by them with a bad lemon system. So you can't really believe me either, can you. So my advice is to not trust any review.
