I was looking for a new radio, to replace the old under cabinet AM/FM/CD, for our newly remodeled kitchen. I liked the small size of the receiver and the remote bookshelf speakers. I put the receiver inside one of the kitchen cabinets and placed the speakers on top of the cabinets. I mounted the receiver on it's side, so it only takes up a couple inches of shelf space in the cabinet. To operate the radio, I downloaded the Grace Remote Application to my smartphone and that allows me to select the channels, volume, and ON/OFF from anywhere in the house. I can also open the cabinet door to change the settings with the IR Remote that comes with the radio, or by manually pushing the buttons on the receiver.

I have had the radio installed for about a month and really love it. I have found some stations that don't send the data fast enough and the radio stops playing and displays "BUFFERING" for a few seconds. This start and stop playing makes those stations pretty useless. This could be a bottle neck in my DSL to 802.11G router, but it does not seem to happen on all stations, so I am blaming their host rather than my connection speed.

The sound quality is real nice. We are using it for background music in the kitchen, so theater quality sound is not required. I tried to copy some of my music CDs onto a USB Flash Drive, but have not figured out how to make that work yet...probably operator error. I set up a free Pandora account and created a couple Pandora "stations" and that is what I listen to most of the time.

The initial setup is a little clumsy entering the router encryption key with the rotary dial selector, but once that is done, the dial is no longer used.
